ATC coverage in the LLLL FIR
The ATC services in the LLLL are divided to three types of ATC services:

ACC - Control Center - Control A/C in it’s controlled airspace & out of the control of the TMA/ airfield on ATS routs ,CVFR routs & training areas.

TMA - Airfield traffic control – For landing & departing A/C that are in the CTR zone of the airfield.

CTR - Radar services in ACC zones & in the LLBG TMA.
ACC areas
The Israeli ACC is divided to two regions, North & South.

The Northern control
Controls the region between the northern borders & Palmachim to the Jordanian border & back north excluding the LLBG TMA.
The Northern control is divided to three controls:

"PLUTO", 127.1 Mhz, Over land
Radar services for all domestic flights on ATS routs & traffic information to CVFR flights on CVFR routs & in training area which are not controlled by a nearby airfield.
Spoken language is Hebrew.

“Tel Aviv Control”, 121.4 Mhz, Over sea
Radar services to all inbound traffic from the west & outbound traffic from LLBG west bound.
Spoken language is English.
Tel Aviv Control, Over flights
Radar services to Royal Jordanian flights, crossing the LLLL FIR.
Spoken language is English.

South control, 120.9 Mhz
Controls the area between Palmachim, the Jordanian border & south bound.
The South control give Radar services to all a/c on ATS routs & in it’s controlled area.
Spoken language is Hebrew while no foreign a/c is on the frequency.
LLBG TMA
In this region terminal radar services are given to all a/c flying IFR or CVFR, excluding a/c flying inside CTRs inside the TMA zone (LLHZ, LLSD & LLBG).
A/C flying on lower ATS routs will be given only traffic information.
The LLBG TMA is divided to two radar controlled sectors:

Airport Controlled Areas (CTR)
The airport’s CTR is defined as the area around the airport from ground level up to the height defined for that specific airport.
